my kids a crack up!

In the car driving, my son is pretending we are in a video game.
Me: I think you are letting video games rule your life

Son: I don't think so, I play outside with my friends more than I play video games. I think just playing rules my life.

Me: true, maybe school work, reading, and cleaning your room should rule your life.

Son: that can rule the boring part of my life but sorry mom only a small part of me is boring!!

random resolutions!

professional family portrait( we have none! I have maybe 3 pictures, just pictures from my camera of all of us together, how sad is that???)
new wardrobe (after all my weight loss:))
I am just going to randomly post some of my little wishes for 2010. I feel if I write them down I will be held more accountable.

Christmas and New Year gone so fast!

Okay so maybe my resolution should be to keep this blog up to date! 2009 is gone and Jan of 2010 is getting well underway. I have set some goals for myself this year and I am determined to reach them. I want to enjoy the time with my family more. Instead of stressing out about getting the dishes done and rooms cleaned up I am going to play. Let there be laundry piles! In the end I would rather have my family say that they enjoyed spending time with me rather than I kept a clean house.:) I also am going to lose weight this year, I know it is a cliched resolution but it is one that I need to have this year. Lots of little other things I wish for this year, some include piano lessons for Ella and Nate's having an easier time with his reading. We spend quite of bit of time on reading, I hope it pays off and as always I am constantly striving to become a better wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and person! Happy New Year!!!

Some Christmas this was one of Ella's favorite gifts! Princess books, Nate only asked for two things Star Wars Lego's and Lego city stuff. He got a millennium falcon and some Clone Wars figures. He was so excited at Christmas this year. We always get a lot of flack because we don't get into the whole Santa thing but I like not having to do Santa and it works for us!

The California Hayes made an appearance! Tim's brother Jon, his wife Jenny and their little girl Anna were able to make it home for Christmas this year. We had so much fun, Ella and Anna are two peas in a pod. On their last night here we went to the hills and saw the lights and discovered that the camel Bull really likes to eat snow. In the past we have brought carrots and fed him those, candy canes and straw. This year we had none and Ella went up with her gloves covered in snow and he bent down and took a big lick. The girls got a big kick out of that, the highlight of the trip.:)

I feel so completely humbled by how wonderfully blessed I am. So I hope this 2010 finds all of you prosperous in good health, family and happiness
