Spring Break

I was really excited for this spring break, Tim took Nate steel head fishing and I decorated Ella's new "big girl" room. I am so glad that Nate and Tim have the chance to go out and do all the fun guy things they love to do like fish and hunt and 4wheel. When Nate was younger it was hard for him to go with the guys because they are die hards and all day long trips were too much on Nate. Now that he is older and Tim is able to take him on 4 to 5 day fishing, hunting trips! It is such a great experience for them both. Ella and I had so much fun doing all the girly things we love to do like shop, makeovers, movies and lunches!! My mom came and stayed with Ella and I and we all noticed how nice and quite, clean and relaxed the house was without some other people around!!!:)) I am just saying, certain members of our family are LOUD, rowdy and sometimes messy. We really missed that! Ella told me on the day before Tim and Nate were coming home, when I see Nate I am going to squeeze him really hard!!! :) Now it is back to work and school and mayhem. Adding new camera to my wish list, my battery won't hold a charge so I get like 3 or 4 pictures till it is dead again. so frustrating. I am charging right now and then I will post pics of Ella's room.

Four Year Ella!

Ella is now 4! time, time goes so fast! She is getting so grown up, maybe a little too grown up, she is a little copy and loves to do everything Nate does. So I hear a lot of 1st grade stuff out of her mouth. Drama, girls are drama!!

Love To My Family

Tim was very sweet to me this valentines' (he really wanted to go ice fishing on Sunday!) So Saturday early evening he made a fantastic dinner of steak and shrimp. Then I went out to celebrate my friends birthday and he stayed home with the kids. I wasn't out for very long but this is what I came home to.

Nate was trying to pretend to sleep, that was pretty funny but Ella and Tim were out. Tim did not know how late I was going to be so he decided the best way to get the kids to sleep was to have a camp out, complete with S'mores roasted over our gas stove!:) It was really cute. Sunday morning we gave the kids their Valentine and Tim made cinnamon rolls (Alton Browns recipe) and took off for his ice fishing trip. It was a great weekend. Where has the rest of February gone?? It has been so busy, busy, we are always running here and there I think Sunday is my favorite day of the week, it's the only day where we can just be at home doing nothing(except laundry)!

Oh Happy Love!

I met Tim in early October of 1997, I'm a loser and I can not remember the exact date but I know it was October. It was suppose to be a girls night out and one of my friends just couldn't bear to be apart from her boyfriend (gag, gag) so when we went to pick her up(at her boyfriends house) He suggested that we go over to Tim's house because it was bigger and we could all just hang out there. UGG, I was pretty pissed about the whole thing and I might have been a little witchy with a B when I first met Tim (he did not seem to mind said witchy with a Bness). That was that! We saw each other the next weekend and the weekend after that and the next day and..... He proposed to me in October of 1998 while we were fighting about a Halloween party we were planning to have that night. Umm yeah that pretty much ended the fight.:) So here we are 13 years and two kids later. Love him!!

No Love for Feb

The start of this new month has been CRAP!!!! Nate was sick last weekend with a fever and a little cough. Thought he was getting better, fever gone but he still had a little cough and then school calls me on Thursday, I need to come get Nate because he is sick. He was at lunch recess and started coughing, he coughed so hard he threw up. Pick him up he seems fine, I think it some ploy to get out of going to library(he at the time thought he lost his library books and he was really worried about telling the librarian about said books!) Friday go to the doc and he has pneumonia!! I had no clue, I seriously thought the doc was going to say something like he has a cold, why did you waste my time, rest and plenty of fluids, bye. Nope I got he has crackling in his lungs, check o2 levels, 89! 89! (Normal o2 should be 98-100) Xray and yep he has pneumonia. We are 2 days in meds and they are working already his cough is lessing( is that even a word? ya know what I mean) and no fever at all. Getting the timing down on his inhaler took some doing, who knew that would be so complicated!:) He is such a great kid, no complaining, his only worry is that he won't be able to go to our friends Superbowl party on Sun. Poor guy, love love!

my kids a crack up!

In the car driving, my son is pretending we are in a video game.
Me: I think you are letting video games rule your life

Son: I don't think so, I play outside with my friends more than I play video games. I think just playing rules my life.

Me: true, maybe school work, reading, and cleaning your room should rule your life.

Son: that can rule the boring part of my life but sorry mom only a small part of me is boring!!

random resolutions!

professional family portrait( we have none! I have maybe 3 pictures, just pictures from my camera of all of us together, how sad is that???)
new wardrobe (after all my weight loss:))
I am just going to randomly post some of my little wishes for 2010. I feel if I write them down I will be held more accountable.

Christmas and New Year gone so fast!

Okay so maybe my resolution should be to keep this blog up to date! 2009 is gone and Jan of 2010 is getting well underway. I have set some goals for myself this year and I am determined to reach them. I want to enjoy the time with my family more. Instead of stressing out about getting the dishes done and rooms cleaned up I am going to play. Let there be laundry piles! In the end I would rather have my family say that they enjoyed spending time with me rather than I kept a clean house.:) I also am going to lose weight this year, I know it is a cliched resolution but it is one that I need to have this year. Lots of little other things I wish for this year, some include piano lessons for Ella and Nate's having an easier time with his reading. We spend quite of bit of time on reading, I hope it pays off and as always I am constantly striving to become a better wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and person! Happy New Year!!!

Some Christmas this was one of Ella's favorite gifts! Princess books, Nate only asked for two things Star Wars Lego's and Lego city stuff. He got a millennium falcon and some Clone Wars figures. He was so excited at Christmas this year. We always get a lot of flack because we don't get into the whole Santa thing but I like not having to do Santa and it works for us!

The California Hayes made an appearance! Tim's brother Jon, his wife Jenny and their little girl Anna were able to make it home for Christmas this year. We had so much fun, Ella and Anna are two peas in a pod. On their last night here we went to the hills and saw the lights and discovered that the camel Bull really likes to eat snow. In the past we have brought carrots and fed him those, candy canes and straw. This year we had none and Ella went up with her gloves covered in snow and he bent down and took a big lick. The girls got a big kick out of that, the highlight of the trip.:)

I feel so completely humbled by how wonderfully blessed I am. So I hope this 2010 finds all of you prosperous in good health, family and happiness
