Happy Easter Weekend!

Oh busy weekend, wedding on Friday(congrats Heidi) birthday party on Saturday, I made the cake for the birthday, she wanted flip flops in blue, pink and green, I found my inspiration cake on-line and this is how it turned out.
After the party we went and picked up my mom so she could spend Easter with us. We dyed eggs and the kids had so much fun picking out colors and decorating the eggs. Easter morning we had some egg hunts, this is the first Easter egg hunt that Ella really got into. She was so excited to find the eggs no mater who found an egg she would jump up and down clapping and screaming. This is the after math of all our egg work.

Ella wants to do everything herself!!We try to emphasis the importance of Easter, what it means and how it is not really about egg hunts and candy baskets. I hope we are getting through!! and I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!

Too much and not Enough

March has been the absolute worst month even with some sunshine spots(all the March birthdays)it was not enough for this horrible eclipse. From the death of a friend to my car wanting to blow it's cat. there really has not been anything good to say and you know if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. So I have been told. I just have not been in the mood to write or do anything for that matter. The other side of all of this, the brighter, healthier positive side, when ever negative things happen in life it makes the connection to faith that much stronger! For me anyway. Prayers, thoughts, feelings and relationships become much more honest and sincere. What truly matters comes in better focus. I am clearly looking up and forward.

Nate and Ella have been so much fun lately with all the things they say and do. El is constantly running to the bathroom to look in the mirror saying that she needs to look because she is beautiful. That is actually pretty annoying!! Her other favorite thing to say is "you're breaking my heart" we usually get this accompanied with big tear filled eyes after telling her no.:)
Nate is getting so big and apparently watching to much tv with commericals because he can recite all the infomercials. His favorite is "SHAM-WOW" I really need to buy that because "that would be super good help while you're cleaning mom and you could get a lot done." notice the while "you're" part. me not him. And the other day Tim and I are arguing in the car, yes I know we are super bad parents because we do argue in front of our kids and sometimes pretty loudly too. Anyway we are in the car arguing and Nate goes, "I have two words for you, Time Share." he even waved his arm like he was reveling a magical secret. It was hilarious and it worked because we were too busy laughing and trying to figure out where he even heard Time Share let alone know what it meant.
My family and friends have been the very core of my sanity, they are the absolute best of every essence of my life. When I feel like it is too much and I can't take anymore I just look to them and know that I have a blessed life!! No matter what else happens we are together, happy and healthy and that is everything!!
man, Nate is in desperate need of a haircut!:)
